Sheila Atim is an MBE holding, Oliver award-winning actress, singer, composer, and playwright whose understated grace is superseded with her commanding on stage and screen presence.

In her first American TV project, Sheila has been cast as Mabel a key character in Barry Jenkins' highly-anticipated series Underground Railroad.

We spoke to her about the importance of telling our historical stories, and what it was like working with Barry.
